Project Slice has secured a $9.4 million Series A round of venture funding led by DCM and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with prominent individual investors including Bebo co-founder Michael Birch, Mike Maples of Floodgate [sic], Google Chairman Eric Schmidt (through his Innovation Endeavors) and Rick Thompson.
Founded in 2010, Palo Alto-based Project Slice aims to help consumers track and manage purchases based on their electronic receipts, starting with a free application called “All My Purchases” that is available within Yahoo Mail. Other services are expected in coming months.
Project Slice co-founder Scott Brady is CEO.
